87 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Spike Nigeria’s Figures To 1182

An additional confirmed 87 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have increased sharply the number of cases in Nigeria to 1182 within 24 hours.

Of the 87 new cases, 33 was reported in Lagos, epicentre of the virus, followed by 18 in Borno, 12 in Osun, 9 in Katsina, 4 in Kano, 4 in Ekiti, 3 in Edo, 3 in Bauchi and 1 in Imo state, its index case.

For the second time, the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Abuja recorded no case as at 11:55 pm 25th April.

So far, the country has 1182 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 222 previously infected patients discharged after being treated and 35 death.

The Nigeria Central for Disease Control (NCDC) which confirmed this in its verified twitter handle, also said that one case who was confirmed in Lagos State had traveled to Ondo State for treatment, therefore, the number of cases in Lagos is 689 and the number of cases in Ondo is 4.
