Nigeria’s COVID-19 Hits 542 With 49 New Cases

With forty-nine new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) detected in the country, the curve has increase to 542 confirmed cases recorded from six states including the Federal Capital Territory.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Saturday, says out of the 49, Lagos has 23 new cases, 12 in FCT, 10 in Kano, 2 in Ogun, 1 in Oyo, and 1 in Ekiti state.

So far, 19 infected persons have died of the virus while 166 previously infected persons have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres across the country.
