BREAKING: Oyo Governor, Makinde Tests Positive For Corona Virus

Engr. Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo state, has tested positive to noval corona virus disease.

The governor who has been on self-isolation, confirmed his status in his verified twitter handle on Monday evening.

He wrote: “I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate.

“I have designated Prof Temitope Alonge, former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, as the Head of COVID-19 Task Force while I recover fully.

“Please continue to comply with all the directives from the COVID-19 Task Force. Stay home, stay safe”, he tweeted.

BIGPEN reports that so far as at 09:30 pm, 29th March, there are seven cases of corona virus confirmed in Oyo state by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
