Stop Spreading Lies About NDDC’s IMC – Ojougboh

Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, Executive Director of Projects (EDP) Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), says some people are just out to spread wicked lies about the Interim Management Commission of the NDDC.
Ojourgboh warned rumour mongers to desist from spewing lies and making attempt to destabilize the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the NDDC.
He said that the entire members of the IMC are working together as a team to the betterment of the interventionist agency and the region.
Ojougboh spoke in a statement signed by his Special Assistant, Media, Gabriel Choba, on Sunday, saying that the three-man committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari led by Acting Managing Director, Dr. Joi Nunieh is working together.
He said that some dubious contractors and others who had looted the NDDC are the people trying to destablize the IMC because of the progress being made in the Forensic Audit of the agency.
According to him, everything is on course in NDDC with the appointment and presentation of a lead consultant for the Forensic Audit to the federal executive council by the minister of Niger Delta Affair, Godswill Akpabio.
“We therefore assure the general public that the interim management committee will work with the lead consultant which has been approved by the federal executive council; and in the shortest possible time, the forensic auditors will emerge.
“We seize this opportunity to encourage contractors who collected money previously and refused to go to site but now at the inception of the audit has returned to site.
“We also encourage other contractors who have completed their verification and documentation, that as soon as the 2019 and 2020 budget is passed, they will be paid”.
The statement however thanked the National Assembly for the prompt attention and cooperation given to NDDC budget, the IMC and the Ministry of Niger Delta in the budget presentation.
