BIGPEN Online understands that the protesting residents shut down the flowstation at the wee hours of Friday over Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s appointment into the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

The protesters however allegedly accused the state deputy governor, Kingsley Otuaro of ‘cornering’ the DESOPADEC’s appointment slot for his cronies in Gbaramatu Kingdom in outright disregard to production quantum and the people of Diebiri Kingdom who claims it is their turn to produce the next member representing Ijaw nation in the oil commission.
