Another Minister Resigns From Buhari’s Cabinet

Minister of state for environment, Ibrahim Jibrin has resigned from President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.

His resignation came during the federal executive council meeting of Wednesday.

However, his resignation is related to decision of Nasarawa emirate council to settle for him as the 13th emir of Nasarawa town in Nasarawa local government area of the state.

At a valedictory session held in Jibrin’s honour, president Buhari referred to him as “Your Highness” after congratulating him earlier.

“President Buhari congratulates the Minister of State for Environment, Hon. I.U Jibril on his selection as the 13th Emir of Nasarawa Emirate,” Bashir Ahmad, a personal assistant to the president, had tweeted last week.

“He urges him to build on the legacies of his predecessor and promote peace and unity in the emirate.”
