APC Asks LGA/Ward Excos To Monitor INEC Released Voters Register In Delta

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has asked its Local Government and Ward Executives to monitor and appraise unit by unit register as released by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).

State Organizing Secretary of the party, Sir. A.S. Mene stated this in a statement obtained by BigPen Online on Tuesday, charging the officials to report any noticeable abnormalities in the INEC register to their respective LGA Chairmen and Secretaries for prompt intervention by the party.

According to Mene, where the LGA Chairman and secretary fails to respond to observed abnormalities, the officials should report to the State Organizing Secretary for appropriate action.

The exercise would commence today, 6th to 12th November, 2018, the statement said.

He said that the officials saddled with the responsibility are to be collaboratively appointed, two persons (2) per unit to take control of their respective units.

“Further more, all LGAs and Wards Organizing secretaries should be conscious of the fact that elections are won and lost at the unit level.

“Therefore, all officials listed and the unit appointees should take full control of units in their domains and protect same to ensure that APC is not short-changed and our votes protected.

‘By and large, all other party officials not listed on this notice, are hereby encouraged to give maximum support to the Organizing secretaries at various levels in this regards.

“Please note that before the end of the exercise, there shall be an interactive session for all LGA Organizing secretaries to appraise their observations and to take actions where necessary”.
