A Delta State High Court, sitting in Issele-Uku, has sentenced to death by hanging killers of Diokpa Felix Boise, the 75- year- old uncle of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu.

The accused, Sunday Luka (32), Danjuma Kaika (37) and Luka Agu (33), who all claimed to be from Nasarawa State, were sentenced after they were found guilty of killing the septuagenarian.

The three defendants who used to be labourers in the deceased farmer were arraigned on four- count charge of conspiracy to commit murder, murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

In his ruling, Justice C.I. Ogisi while delivering the verdict said the punishment for the offence was mandatory, adding that he lacked the discretionary power to mitigate the sentence.

Spokesman of the Delta state Judicial, Mr. Ivovi Aruoriwo confirmed this in a terse message on Thursday.
