Day After Being Shot By Vigilante, Robbery Suspect Dies In Hospital

A robbery suspect who was reportedly shot by a vigilante group member and rushed for treatment in Warri, Delta state has been reported died.

The suspected armed robber (name unknown) on Tuesday November 7 died in an undisclosed hospital a day after he was allegedly shot by the Igbudu Community Vigilante for robbing an unidentified woman.

BigPen Online learnt that the suspect robbed his victi at gunpoint on Monday 6 at Old Welfare Street near Igbudu Market in Warri.

It was gathered that the deceased suspect walked passed the area after he robbed the woman who identified and pointed him to the vigilante members who quickly accosted him and deformed one of his legs with gunshots.

The deceased suspect who is from Agbasa area in Warri bled seriously and was allegedly rushed by Policemen who were called in by the Vigilante to the hospital where he died late Tuesday.

Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Aniamaka did not respond to text messages apart from calls accross to his mobile
