The Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has predicted that by 2018, the State will become the number producer of oil in the country if the youths continue to maintain the existing peace.
Governor Okowa made the prediction at the palace of the Okobaro of Ughieveen Kingdom, HRM. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP Owhawha shortly after he commissioned 10.8 Kilometres rehabilitated/resealed Okpare-Umolo-Ovwodokpokpor, Kiagbodo roads in addition to the inspection of Ewu and Okpe-Olomu roads.

We cannot meet up the expectations of our people. Let us maintain the peace so that we can rapidly go back to second position and if we maintain the peace, by 2018 we will get back to first position.”
Governor Okowa also commended the traditional institutions for their partnership in ensuring a peaceful Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The Ughievwen monarch, HRM, Matthew Edirin Egbi JP appealed to the governor to resolve the “power cut” in their area, stressing,” We contribute a lot to power from our place here.
