The Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has predicted that by 2018, the State will become the number producer of oil in the country if the youths continue to maintain the existing peace.

Governor Okowa made the prediction at the palace of the Okobaro of Ughieveen Kingdom, HRM. Matthew Ediri Egbi JP Owhawha shortly after he commissioned 10.8 Kilometres rehabilitated/resealed Okpare-Umolo-Ovwodokpokpor, Kiagbodo roads in addition to the inspection of Ewu and Okpe-Olomu roads.

Governor Okowa noted that the State Government could nt meet up to the expectations of its people because of the little derivation accruing to the state in addition to youth restiveness and militancy.
