Uduaghan Arrives Delta APC Governorship Primaries As Accreditation Of Delegates Begin

Published

on

Immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has made his way into the venue of the ongoing All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship election holding in Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, the state capital.

BigPen Online gathered that Uduaghan’s arrival may triggered the commencement of the exercise which has been tumultuous at the entrance of the venue heavily crowded by a surge of party faithfuls.

The process of accreditation of delegates into the venue of the exercise have been highly unorganized as delegates and party faithfuls who want to be part of the process struggle to gain access.

It was gathered that immediately Uduaghan arrived, one of the handlers of the public address system at the gate which was quite far from the arena started calling names of delegates who were carefully screened into the venue.

Among the governorship aspirants earlier sighted at the venue before the arrival of Uduaghan around 8:30pm was former Speaker Rt.Hon Victor Ochei, Dr Cairo Ojougboh and Chief Great Ogboru. Prof Pat Utomi was been conspicuously absent from the venue.

Uduaghan was later sighted in a canopy where other chieftains of the party including former NUPENG Secretary General, Chief Frank Kokori sat.

One of the governorship aspirant, Chief Great Ogboru and Senator representing Delta Central senatorial district, Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege who were inside a parked vehicle later joined him alongside Chief Sunny Ofehe, an aspirant who threw his weigh behind Ogboru’s ambition at the last minute.

The former Speaker, Ochei had vehemently stood his ground at the gate where the process of the accreditation was taking place trying to ensure things were not manipulated.

Unconfirmed sources told BigPen Online that Pat Utomi had earlier pull out of the race over some irreconcilable issues but didn’t say if he step down for any of the aspirants or angrily left the process of the governorship primaries.
