The Chairman of the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Friday Ovoke Warri, has cautioned the newly appointed secretary of the Isoko South Local Government Education Authority, Blessing Ese against the indiscriminate transfer of primary school teachers in the area.

Warri stated this while swearing in the appointee at the council secretariat in Oleh on Tuesday.

The council boss urged Mr. Ese to meticulously adhere to due process and exercise judicious discretion in assigning teachers to their respective duties.

According to him, the appointment of Ese followed the expiration of the tenure of Puis Emamowho, the immediate past Executive Secretary of the LEA.

He said, “I will not accept the indefinite deployment of teachers; ensure that you follow a meticulous process and exercise sound judgment before undertaking such an exercise. Teachers must also remain at their assigned posts, as some teachers tend to reassign themselves immediately.

“Also, no one is above the law; adhere to the rules and regulations governing the office. Furthermore, unauthorized collection of money from learners will not be tolerated. You are representing the council in the education section, particularly in primary schools. Your tenure as LEA Secretary will be a successful one.”

In his response, the newly sworn-in local education authority secretary, Blessing Ese, expressed gratitude to the council chairman for the opportunity to serve and pledged to execute his new responsibility for the betterment of Isoko South people and to the glory of God who made it possible.
.
He pledged to collaborate closely with the staffers of the LEA, with a view to discharge his duty conscientiously and live up to the confidence reposed in him.

Ese, born in the early 1970s, hails from Uro-Irri community and possesses a BA.Ed in social studies from the prestigious Delta State University, Abraka.

He previously served as a councillor, special assistant to the Delta State government, former board member, and youth general in the Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA), among others

Meanwhile, the council chairman, Friday Ovoke Warri, has called on religious leaders to pray for the Isoko nation always, as Isoko needs their resourcefulness and collective desire for a better tomorrow for the region.

Warri made the call during the official dedication of the Isoko Christian House, Oleh and expressed his support and unwavering commitment to disseminating the word of God.

“It is my honour to extend to you the sincere congratulations of my family, government, and the people of Isoko South Local Government, as well as to the glory of God, on the official dedication of Isoko Christian House.
