Chairman APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, have hinged the defection of the six Anambra State lawmakers on moves by APC to capture the South East geopolitical zone.

BIGPENNGR reports that the race to the Anambra State Government House, Agu Awka, took a twist on Wednesday when six members of the Anambra State House of Assembly on the platform of the All  Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) defected to the APC ahead of the November 6 governorship polls in the state.

Receiving the defectors at the end of a strategic meeting held behind closed doors in Abuja, Governor Mai Mala Buni who immediately presented them with APC flag, reinstated the party’s determination to win the Anambra governorship election hence the resolve to engage critical stakeholders in Anambra state.
