A Federal High Court sitting at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Wednesday, restrained the Inspector General of Police and its agent from threatening, arresting or detaining the former minister for state Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.

BIGPEN reports that Gbagi is enmeshed in a allegation of dehumanizing some of his hotel staff whom he allegedly stripped naked over a theft case in the hotel.

Following the Inspector General of Police’s order to bring to justice those involved in the dastardly act, the Delta state Police Command, on Tuesday declare Gbagi wanted for consecutively failing to honour invitation made to him over the allegation which he has since denied.

In an exparte motion filed through its counsel, Nkem Okoro (Esq), Gbagi prayed the court to restrain the police from further going after him pending the determination of his fundamental right case.

Recalls that the ex-minister came under heavy attacks few days ago when video clips and photos of naked ladies and a young man believed to be staffers of his Signatious Hotel went viral.

The outrage on social media made the IGP to order the immediate arrest of the former minister who is also a 2023 guber aspirant in Delta State.

In the court papers seen by BIGPEN on Wednesday, Justice Taiwo Taiwo placed an interim order restraining the IGP and operatives of the Delta State Police Command from arresting him (Gbagi).
