Bayelsa Gov. Gets New CPS, PUNCH Reporter As SA Media

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has named Francis Ottah Agbo as his new Chief Press Secretary and Fidelis Soriwei of PUNCH newspaper as his Special Assistant Media.

The appointments which take immediate effect, followed a minor change in his media team.

The appointment of the new CPS came as result of the recent nomination, screening and confirmation of former Chief Press Secretary, (CPS), to governor, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson who is a commissioner-designate.

The new CPS, Agbo, until his present appointment was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relations.

A Government House statement said the Governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Fidelis Soriwei of The Punch Newspapers to take over from Mr. Agbo as the new Special Adviser on Media Relations.

The Governor has also approved the re-assignment of John Idumange as the Director-General of the newly established Directorate of Policy and Programmes.

Until his reassignment, Mr. Idumange was the General Manager of the Bayelsa State Broadcasting Corporation, Glory FM 97.1, Yenagoa.

The Governor also approved the appointment of Tari Febabor as the new General Manager of the State Broadcasting Corporation, Glory FM 97.1, Yenagoa. Febabor had previously served as the Deputy General Manager of the corporation.
