FCID Detectives Pick Up George Uboh, Whistleblower Who Accused Emefiele In Alleged $2.5b CBN Scandal

Operatives of the Force Criminal Investigations Department, FCID has reportedly arrested George Uboh, Whistleblowers Network (GUWN) chairman in connection to the $2.5 billion exposure on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Report says detectives stormed Uboh Abuja residence which also served as his office and searched it for documents after which he was whisked away on Wednesday afternoon.

According to ElombahNews, Uboh’s private Secretary, Ms. Ladi confirmed the arrest by security operatives numbering five.

She was quoted to have said that they ransacked the house and carted away his telecom appliances including computers and telephones.

BIGPEN ONLINE couldn’t independently verify this information but attached document showing the search and subsequent arrest by security operatives.

Uboh had recently obtained a court order restraining senate from confirming Emefiele until he account for the said ‘missing’ money.
