Delta APC Ward Chair Calls For INEC Cancellation Of Parts Of Ethiope Federal

The chairman of APC Ward 11 in Ethiope Federal constituency, Mr Friday Idodo has petitioned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC following alleged electoral violence and snatching of ballot boxes.
In a petition to the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Delta state, Dr Cyril Omorogbe, the APC alleged that electoral materials were snatched and diverted by the People Democratic Party’s (PDP) Candidate for Ethiope Federal Constituency, Hon Ben Igbakpa in Ward 11, Ethiope West LGA to an unknown destination for rigging.
“Hence the electorates of Ward 11 have petitioned the INEC Electoral Officer for Ethiope West LGA for the cancellation of that Ward result if any because there was no vote cast in the Ward and also to prosecute the violators”, the petition read.
“The PDP resorted to violence, intimidation and harrassment of APC members and agents. At the process, one Everton Teteri was violently attacked by Hon Ben Igbakpa and his hired thugs but was rescued by army officers on duty.
“In addition, they stormed Onogborhe primary school and violently snatched ballot boxes and booklets on gunpoint and chased all APC members and party agents from the polling unit. Polling units 4,5,6 and 10 of ward 11 were seriously rigged by the PDP candidate and his thugs.
“In view of the above, we call for outright cancellation of results from ward 11 Ethiope West local government area”, the petition added.
