JUST IN: Again, Four Catholic Priests Abducted In Delta

Barely few weeks after the kidnap of some reverened sisters, four Catholic Reverend Fathers have been reported abducted by unknown gunmen in Delta State.

Report says the priest were seized around Umutu/Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State enroute Ekpoma in Edo state.

Earlier reports say the four priests were taken hostage by the gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen who waylaid their vehicle but Police said the identity of those behind the abduction were unknown.

A source told BigPen Online that the priests, were heading to Ekpoma from Warri in a convoy, when the gunmen overtake their vehicle and block them, from where they whisked four away to unknown destination.

The vehicles conveying the priests had been rescued by the team of anti-kidnapping policemen drafted from Delta and Edo states, our source disclosed.

Meanwhile, the state commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammad Mustafa, who confirmed the abduction on Wednesday, assured that the kidnapped priests would be rescued.
