Relief as Isoko South Chairman’s Wife Celebrates Two Years in Office with Outreach to Orphanage, Families

As part of activities marking the second anniversary of the administration of the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Comr.) Warri Ovoke Friday, his wife, Mrs. Abigail Warri, has embarked on a humanitarian outreach, extending support to an orphanage and selected families with newborn babies across the local government area.

The outreach, which forms part of the anniversary celebrations, reflects the administration’s commitment to complementing infrastructural development with meaningful social welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable members of the community.

During the exercise, which took place on Monday, Mrs. Warri donated food items and other essential supplies to the orphanage to support the care and welfare of the children. She also presented baby care materials, including essential items for newborns, to nursing mothers who recently gave birth, easing some of the financial burden associated with childcare while encouraging them to continue prioritizing the health and well-being of their children.

Speaking during the outreach, Mrs. Warri emphasized the importance of showing compassion to the less privileged and providing support to young families. She noted that every child deserves love, care, and the opportunity to thrive, adding that acts of kindness and service remain fundamental to building a more caring and inclusive society.

According to her, the outreach aligns with the vision of the Warri Ovoke Friday-led administration, which seeks not only to deliver democratic dividends through infrastructure and development projects but also to positively impact the lives of residents through people-oriented programmes and social intervention initiatives.

The beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation for the thoughtful gesture, describing the donations as timely and impactful. They noted that the support would go a long way in meeting some of their immediate needs and offered prayers for God’s continued guidance, protection, wisdom, and strength for Hon. (Comr.) Warri Ovoke Friday and Mrs. Abigail Warri as they continue to serve the people of Isoko South with dedication, humility, and compassion.

The outreach further underscored the administration’s resolve to foster inclusive governance by ensuring that the welfare of vulnerable groups, including children and nursing mothers, remains an important aspect of its development agenda.

Mrs. Warri was accompanied on the outreach by the Vice Chairman of Isoko South Local Government, Hon. Theresa Ikrike and other officials of the council, who commended the initiative as a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to responsive, compassionate, and people-centred governance.
