BREAKING: Abducted Retired Maj-Gen. Rabe Abubakar, Dies in Terrorist Custody

The Katsina State Government has announced the tragic passing of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who died while being held hostage by bandits.

The former Director of Defence Information had been in captivity for two weeks following a daring ambush.

The retired senior officer and his wife were intercepted by armed terrorists in the Matazu local government area of Katsina State.

The couple was reportedly en route to a wedding ceremony when the assailants targeted their vehicle.

Official reports from the state government indicated that General Abubakar suffered from underlying health conditions, including diabetes and high blood pressure, which ultimately led to his untimely death while in the custody of his abductors.
