Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, sacrifice, and collective responsibility as Muslims across the 0 and the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In his goodwill message to commemorate the Islamic via his official X handle, Jonathan urged citizens to reflect on the enduring lessons of faith, obedience, and sacrifice symbolized by Eid-el-Kabir, stressing that trust in God and selflessness remain critical in overcoming national challenges.
The former president noted that Nigeria is currently facing difficult times that require not only prayers but also deliberate actions from citizens, especially in promoting peace, security, and national cohesion.
According to him, the country’s diversity should be seen as a strength capable of driving progress rather than a source of division.
Jonathan further emphasized that genuine nation-building demands devotion, patriotism, and a sense of duty from every Nigerian, adding that the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir perfectly reflects those values.
He called on Nigerians to stand together with renewed determination to protect the nation and work towards a safer, more stable, and prosperous future for all.
