The chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Friday Ovoke Warri has handed over 100 pieces of chairs donated to Enwhe Comprehensive High School, Enwhe.

Handing over the learning desks on behalf of the donor to the management of Enwhe Comprehensive High School, Monday, Warri, expressed his gratitude to the donor, Michael Ogodo, an indigenous son of Enwhe community for making the donation to improve the learning conditions of students even as he charged the students to make good use of the items and avoid destroying any of the chairs.

Warri noted that though Ogodo is not a politician, but has chosen to use his resources to positively impact the lives of students in the community.

The donation follows recent public concerns raised on social media within the Isoko Nation that students of the school were sitting on bare floors during classes due to the shortage of furniture.

The donor had, over the years, been involved in such kind gestures since 2015 and outside the donation over time, he has personally engaged the services of English language and mathematics teachers to help improve the learning condition of the students.

The principal of Enhwe Comprehensive High School, Ilah Jonathan, commended Ogodo for responding to the urgent needs of the school and highlighted ongoing security challenges facing the institution, revealing that hoodlums and thieves have been vandalizing and stealing school properties.
