Chairman of Tantita’s Security Services Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on Thursday, made an epic return to the public stage after more than a decade, serving as Chief Launcher of the Delta State Security Trust Fund at a ceremony held at the Government House, Asaba.

The historic event, presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, drew top government officials, security chiefs, traditional rulers, and key stakeholders from across Delta State.

Tompolo’s appearance marked his first formal public engagement with the government in years, attracting significant attention from political observers and community leaders.

The Delta State Security Trust Fund, an initiative of the Oborevwori administration, seeks to mobilize resources to strengthen security infrastructure, enhance intelligence gathering, and improve coordination among security agencies across the state.

In his remarks, Governor Oborevwori hailed Tompolo’s presence as a demonstration of solidarity, partnership, and commitment to peace and security in the Niger Delta. He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to work with all stakeholders to sustain peace, particularly in the riverine communities.

The event featured goodwill messages from heads of security agencies and traditional rulers, who commended the governor for institutionalizing a sustainable framework for security funding and coordination.

Tompolo, who has maintained a low profile for years, was warmly received by dignitaries and guests. Performing his role as Chief Launcher, he pledged his continued support for peace, unity, and development in Delta State.
