‘We’re Committed to Healthcare Delivery’ – Isoko North Boss as He Flags Off 2nd Phase Immunization Exercise

The chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has officially flagged off the second phase of the National Immunization Exercise across the local government area.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony in Ozoro, headquarters of the council, Friday, Ogorugba reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Isoko North.

The council chairman announced that the council is currently constructing a staff clinic within the council secretariat to provide timely medical attention for staff during working hours, disclosing that the local government has approved the distribution of essential drugs to all Public Primary Health Centres across the LGA in response to reports of drug shortages.

“We are still intensifying awareness on immunization in our communities. Although resistance cases are relatively low here, it’s important that we sustain sensitization efforts. As a Council, we remain dedicated to supporting quality healthcare services for our people.”

Also speaking at the event, the UNICEF representative, Mrs. Timilola Esther, commended the council chairman for what she described as consistent support and strong presence.

The immunization exercise will continue in schools, churches, and homes, targeting children aged 0 to 59 months.

The campaign is tagged “Kick Polio Out of Delta State.

Evelyn, House committee chairman on Health and councilor representing Ise- Emevor ward; Supervisor for Health, Anthony Odhibi; Supervisor for Agriculture and community development, Thomas Akpoedafe; Supervisor for Finance, Isaiah Oguye; Supervisor for works, Egwu Oghenero Alakpodia; Supervisor for Environment, Alebe Joshua; SA to the chairman, Oloku Jacob Erero; DOP, Jude Ogwologho; and Ikrumale Monday Gideon.
