NMU: Ijaw Journalists Congratulate Bebenimibo Over Registrar Appointment

The Ijaw Journalists Association Worldwide, (IJAW), say it rejoices with Dr. Paul Bebenimibo over his soaring profile as he gets Registrar appointment of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko.

The Association in a statement by its National President, Bulou Kosin, and Secretary, Ezekiel Kagbala, noted that “Bebenimibo has history of commendable service delivery at various stations and at auspicious moments in the life of his people’.

The IJAW noted: “As a budding journalist decades back, he surrendered his media dexterity to the struggle for better deal for the Niger Delta”.

According to the group, “He subsequently advanced his academics to a university don where he emerged Head of Broadcasting, Journalism and Media Studies, Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, shaping the career of hundreds of students. His subsequent appointment as Commissioner representing Ijaw ethnic nationality at DESOPADEC further honed and sharpened his administrative skills in the platform where he vigorously fought for equity in the state”.

“As Bebenimibo matches into NMU at a time the institution needs greater filip in its administrative architecture, we are confident of his capabilities. We all the same call Jehovah God in aid of a sterling performance to inspire peace and boost the economy from the pivotal maritime sector of the nation”, the IJAW statement noted.

“The Ijaw Journalists Association Worldwide is proud of the appointment of Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, and a ranking Ijaw journalist as Registrar of NMU in recognition of his competence. Accept our hearty congratulations!”, the statement concluded.”
