Channels TV reports on Wednesday that thunderous chants erupted in the Senate chamber as he was escorted to the majority wing of the Upper Chamber.
In addition to his defection, the senator in a correspondence read by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, urged the Senate to establish an ad hoc committee to investigate the ongoing crisis within the PDP.
He emphasised the need for a viable opposition to safeguard Nigeria’s political landscape and ensure a balanced democratic process.
