Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, has revealed that the ongoing political crisis in the state is driven by opponents seeking control of its resources.

Speaking at Omega Power Ministries (OPM) during the 51st birthday celebration of Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere and the ministry’s 18th anniversary, Fubara assured that his administration will utilize the state’s resources responsibly for the people’s benefit.

“There is a reason for this crisis, and that reason is the control of Rivers State’s resources,” Fubara stated.

“Rivers State resources belong to you, and we will ensure they are used wisely for the betterment of our state.”

He also appealed for continued prayers from the congregation, saying, “We ask only one thing in return: continue to pray for us. We won’t lose focus on our mission for the people, and with your prayers, we will fulfill the purpose of governance”.

Fubara commended Apostle Chinyere for OPM’s educational programs, which equip children with vocational and technical skills. “Life is about giving, not just taking,” he said.

“For all you’re doing for humanity, God will continue to strengthen you. We recognize the impact of your contributions”.
