The Idumuje-Unor Progressive Union’s and the Ndoshimili Development Association have threw their weight behind Senator Ned Nwoko‘s advocacy for Anioma State creation.

The Abuja branch of the Idumuje-Unor Progressive Union (IPUN) made their stance known on Friday, October 25, during a solidarity visit to Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district, at his Maitama residence in Abuja.

The visit, led by IPUN President Sam Mukolu, was tailored to discuss developmental issues concerning Idumuje-Unor and to express support for the creation of Anioma State.

They also emphasized the creation of Anioma State and its potential benefits for Delta North, along with other matters of senatorial district development.

Chairman of the Ndoshimili Development Association, Dr. Titus Obiorah Enuebuke, in a statement endorsing the creation of Anioma State, said; “We have never doubted your capacity, capability, and sincerity in leading our people, particularly in the Anioma State creation movement.

“We assure you of our total, unalloyed, and unambiguous support, wishing you success in actualizing the long-fought-for Anioma State.”

The Ndoshimili Development Association, an Anioma socio-cultural organization from Ndokwa-East Local Government Area, commended Senator Nwoko’s efforts in providing purposeful representation and leadership for the Anioma people.

“Your commitment is evident in the quality of your discourse and legislative bills, as well as your determination to secure a fair share for our people within the nation,” the statement added.

The Idumuje-Unor Progressive Union’s visit and the Ndoshimili Development Association’s endorsement have shown the growing support for Senator Nwoko’s advocacy for Anioma State creation. This movement seeks to address the imbalance in Nigeria’s geopolitical zones, where the South East has only five states, unlike other zones with six states.
