…As Warri South LG Chairman seeks speedy approval of NOUN study center

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Isaac Butswat, has stated that at least 500 students must be guaranteed and the physical infrastructure must meet the necessary requirements before a study center can be approved in Warri.

Butswat stated this during a facility tour to the proposed Warri study center, located at Esisi road, Warri, on Friday.

“We are here because the honorable chairman is very interested in expanding access to education in Warri South Local Government,” Prof. Butswat said.

“Our VC is passionate about open and decent learning, and we have modified the requirements for the establishment of community centers to make them more community-friendly.”

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, appealed to the NOUN team to speedily grant the privilege of a study center in Warri.

“We have taken commitment that all the observations made by the team will be addressed and concluded within 30 days”, he said.
