Bishop Agori-Iwe, first ordained Bishop in Urhobo land and Midwest (Bendel), now Edo and Delta states was from Okuama Town in Ewu Kingdom of Ughelli South LGA, Delta.

He was the first Bishop of Benin Diocese of Anglican Church. It was said his real name was Oboyovwemu but his father gave him a nick name of Oguori due to the fact he was plumly as a well fed infant.

At school, his teacher who was not Urhobo couldn’t write the correct name of Oguori and corrupted the name to ‘Agoir/Agori’. His father,Iwe was a native of Okuama Town in Ewu Kingdom/Clan of Ughelli South LGA in present Delta state.
