Delta South: I’ll Remain Your Senator In Next Four Years – Onowakpo, Vows To Appeal Tribunal Verdict


Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has expressed his intention to appeal the judgement delivered by the National and state Assembly Petition Tribunal in Asaba, Delta State.
BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpenngr.com) reports that the Tribunal had on Wednesday while delivering judgment on the petition brought against Onowakpo’s victory at the polls by the PDP Candidate, Michael Diden, ordered a supplementary election in Warri South council area.
Although the certified true copy of the judgement is yet to be received, Onowakpo-Thomas said that preliminary briefings have indicated sufficient grounds for an appeal, which would affirm his victory.
As he consults with the leadership of his party and his legal team, Senator Thomas assured his supporters and the APC faithful in Delta South Senatorial District that he will exhaust all available legal avenues to defend his mandate.
He expressed confidence in the appeal process and pledged to utilize every resource at his disposal to ensure that the will of the people, as expressed in the polls, is upheld.
The APC Senator, who represents Delta South Senatorial District in the red chamber, while urging his supporters to remain calm, emphasized the importance of unity and brotherly love among party members.
He reassured them that, with the grace of God, he will continue to serve as their Senator for the next four years, steadfastly defending the mandate entrusted to him.
