Omo-Agege Roars With Ughelli North Votes As PDP Maintains Lead In Delta Guber Results

Deputy President of the Senate and governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Delta state, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has trounced his main rival, Sheriff Oborevwori of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in his Ughelli North council area.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (www.bigpenngr.com) reports that Omo-Agege who had been trashed mercilessly by Oborevwori in 15 Local Government Areas, roared to life with remarkable votes from his Ughelli North enclave, thus putting APC at four against PDP’e fifteen LGAs.

Below is the result of Ughelli North LGA.

Total Registered Voters- 223,083
Accredited Voters – 55,130

APC – 34,955
LP – 1,438
PDP – 15,198

Total Valid Votes – 53,232
Rejected Votes – 1,453
Total Votes Cast – 54,685

While announcing the result at the resumed sitting at the collation centre, Returning Officer,Prof. Georgewill Owuneri,said that there was incident of destruction of election materials in some areas and over voting in Ward 7 that was cancelled.

He also reported that there’s no election in Ward 8, Evwreni in Ughelli North.

Responding, One Emeka Omerabor, Chairman of IPAC in Delta State challenged the results from Ughelli North.

Kingsley Esiso, PDP Chairman in Delta State also alleged that Omo-Agege was allegedly involved in holding INEC official hostage in Ward 9 of Ughelli North LGA of Delta State


Efe Duku, representing APC said his Party condemned the alleged hostage taking of some INEC official.

He however condemned what he described as “demeaning the reputation of the Deputy President of the Senate DSP Ovie Omo-Agege by the PDP and it’s agents”.
