Alleged Plot By Thugs To Invade Delta South Collation Centre Exposed

An alleged plot by suspected political thugs to invade and disrupt the collation of results at Delta South Senatorial District collation Centre, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, has been exposed.

The purported plot is being hatch as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta South Senatorial hopeful, Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas,is currently leading in the counted results.

Delta South is made up of eight local government areas, Isoko South, Isoko North, Warri South, Warri North, Warri South-West, Patani, Bomadi and Burutu Local Governments Areas.

An impeccable source at the collation Centre said he overheard some bigwigs of the ruling state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Isoko extraction putting finishing touches on how to mobilize thugs to invade the venue and chase everybody away.

The plan, according to the source is to disrupt further announcement of the result as it was obvious that the PDP candidate was no where near victory hence the plan to disrupt the process.

“There are plans to invade the Centre. I want the security agencies, local and international observers, INEC, the media and the general public to take note”, the source said adding that “the attempt to disrupt the process may lead to chaos in the district.”
