Olakunle Oluomo, speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, is currently being quizzed by operatives of anti-graft agency, the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over allegations of offences bordering on financial misappropriation and embezzlement.

www.bigpenngr.com understands that Oluomo was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Thursday morning following a tip off.

As of time of filling this report, the Speaker has been flown from Lagos to Abuja to face full interrogation in the custody of the agency.

A source said that his arrested was far unconnected to investigation by the anti-graft agency on allegation of forgery of signatures and financial documents of the assembly, embezzlement and misappropriation of funds.

EFCC’s source who confirmed the arrest, disclosed the embattled lawmaker had been evading arrest and had failed to honour invitation extended to him by the agency several times.

“He will be taken to Abuja office for questioning this afternoon”, the source said.
