The impeachment process of the deputy governor of Oyo state, Rauf Olaniyan by the state House of Assembly, has been okay by the Justice Ladiran Akintola of an Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan.

www.bigpenngr.com reports that Olaniyan had approached the court to stop his impeachment by the state House of Assembly.

But ruling on the matter, the court dismissed the suit filed by Olaniyan to stop his removal from office, saying the Assembly did not breached the provisions of the constitution on the removal of governor or deputy governor.
