Former Managing Director of  the Delta state Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun Askia Ogieh, has congratulated the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, for emerging as the flag bearer of the Delta state People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ogieh, in a statement he personally signed on behalf of his political family, Hope Alive, and the entire dedicated followers and ardent believers, felicitated with Oborevwori, “my bosom friend, political ally, consummate politician, astute and tactical mobiliser and front line legislator for his victory”.

“We did not anticipate a political earthquake as it happened, we merely set out to ensure that a popularly accepted grassroots man with humane traits emerged as our candidate and the discerning members of our party, the PDP, saw all that in you and have so endorsed you through their votes, to fly our flag to victory in 2023.

“Indeed, this is one sumptuous victory of a landslide character that has demonstrated your immense electoral weight, value and candour. It is the pure testament of your well earned credibility over the years. You have evidenced a proof of better connection with the people and you are inches away from riding gloriously to the number one seat in our dear State, by the grace of God.

“Aware of the assignment ahead, rest assured of a full dose dedication on our part to delivering on this agenda to the pride of Delta State.
