Senator Patrick Osakwe Dies In London Hospital

Late Senator Patrick Enebeli Osakwe

Senator Patrick Enebeli Osakwe, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former senator representing Delta North senatorial District, is dead.

Osakwe died at a London hospital on Tuesday night at the age of 73.
Patrick Enebeli Osakwe became a member of the Nigerian Senate in 1999 under the Accord Party, and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007.
Osakwe who was born on August 11, 1948 hails from Ugili-Amai in Ndokwa-west Local Government Area of the state.

Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, on Media, Ossai Ovie Success, confirmed the death in a terse post made on his Facebook page on Tuesday night.
