Suspects Involved In Killing Of ex-Police Chief Over Biafra Struggle, Nollywood Actress Nabbed In Delta

A suspected fleecing Imo Prison inmate allegedly involved in the killing of a former head of legal department in the Delta Police Command and two other suspects responsible for the killing of a Nollywood actress, have been apprehended by police operatives in a separate operations in the state.

The suspect was allegedly responsible for the killing of the command’s former OC legal, Chris Kpatuma, (retired) in Agwa clan, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state

BIGPENNGR reports that the suspect identified as Chukwudi Emerenin and his gang members, now at large were hibernating somewhere in Aboh in Ndokwa East LGA where he was picked up.

State commissioner of police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, on Wednesday, paraded the suspect and others arrested acrosss the state, for different offences bordering on armed robbery, cultism, kidnapping, and murder.
He said that the alleged masterminds of the killing of the former OC legal, a 27 year old, Chukwudi Emerenin was arrested by operatives of the command acting on intelligence.
The CP said the suspect who had earlier escaped from Owerri prison was smoked out from his hide out in Aboh on February 12, 2022 at about 2100hours.
Chukwudi is suspected to be part of the syndicate that killed the late Police officer Chris Kpatuma in Agwa clan, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state., the police boss said.
According to the CP, he also told investigators that he is related to the late police officer and that the leader of his gang is called “Mega Bush”.
“The suspect also revealed that the late officer was killed because he was a strong stakeholder and a titled man in the community and owing to the fact that he was a Retired Police Officer, they saw him as a threat to their Biafra
Struggle hence they decided to kill him.
“The Suspect Chikwudi Emerenin
is also suspected to be part of the syndicate that beheaded a vigilante member in Owerri and used his head as ball some time ago”, CP Ali said.
Similarly, the police boss disclosed that a
19 year-old, Onyeka Ifeanyi and another 20 year-old, Bright Micheal Kester, were arrested over the murder of one Mary Ngozi, an on-coming Nollywood actress and a POS operator in Boji Boji Owa, Ika South LGA, last year.
He said that the suspects was arrested following a distressed call received by the DPO Owa-Oyibu that some suspects who robbed and shot some POS operators at Efeizomor Street, near Pekky Hotel in Owa-Oyibo, have been arrested and that they are being lynched by an angry mob.
The police boss said that upon receiving the distressed call, the patrol teams were quickly mobilised to the scene where one cut-to-size double barrel gun was recovered from them.
He said that the two males suspects who stayed at No.10 Ije Street Agbor and No.5 Imudia Street Agbor, were subsequently rescued from the mob and brought to the station.
“Upon interrogation, they confessed to have robbed several POS operators and also confessed that their gang members were responsible for the robbery and murder of one Mary Ngozi, a POS
operator and Nollywood actress at deeper life road on 7/12/2021″.
One of the Suspects Bright Michael Kester was thereafter taken to General Hospital for treatment due to injuries sustained from the mob attack but gave
up the ghost while receiving treatment, CP Ali said.
He said that investigation was still ongoing on the cases.
