The PowerShift 2023 Movement, a political pressure group, says it has established a political training academy to groom young and emerging politicians on good governance and proactive leadership.

The Convener of the movement, Mr Nonso Nnamani, told Journalist on Friday that the academy, known as PowerShift Political Academy, is open for youths between the ages of 18 and 45 years.

Nnamani said that the academy would assist youthful politically-ambitious persons to know how to go about their political dreams in the right way and win the trust of the people within a reduced cost.

According to him, the academy’s curriculum runs in such a way that young aspiring politicians will learn how to use the powers of social media, social engagement, volunteerism and advocacy to push their political frontiers and win elective positions.

“If you are ready to take action as a young person against misrule, misrepresentation and bad governance in the country, but do not know how to do so, then there is good news for you.

“The PowerShift Political Academy is now active and open for enrollment to all who share in this passion for a better system of leadership and a progressive society.

The convener said that the deadline for the application for enrolment into the academy is Dec. 31, 2021, adding that classes would start in January, 2022 in Enugu.
