According to report in Peoples Gazette, Mamman slumped after being told by President Muhammadu Buhari that he had been relieved of his job.

BIGPENNGR had reported that Mamman and the Agriculture Minister, Sabo Nanono were the first casualties of the Buhari’s approved cabinet reshuffle exercise which the presidency said would be continuous.

A family source quoted in the online report, said that Mamman who had been Power minister since 2019, “collapsed yesterday (Wednesday) and was immediately hospitalised”.

“He wasn’t expecting to be fired so soon” the source added as the report says “The nature of Mr Mamman’s ailment was not immediately clarified and his spokesman did not return a request seeking comments”.
