Details of the their arrest were still sketchy as of press time but the arrest is coming at the backdrop of the communal crisis between Igbide and Emede communities.

The two Isoko communities have been on each other jugular for years over boundary dispute but the latest mayhem may not be far unconnected to leadership crisis rocking Igbide.

Circumstances surrounding the renewed hostility have been sketchy but accusing fingers are reportedly pointed to the President General of Igbide who is said to be fueling the renewed crisis to perpetrate himself in power.

On Friday, following the killings, wanton destruction and arson, the LGA Security Council, declared the President General of Igbide wanted and urged the law enforcement agencies to go after him.

All effort to reach the state Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa for comment on the brewing crisis, proved abortive as his phone number signaled busy for the many times he was called but a police source who confirmed the arrest said that mobile policemen and soldiers have since been drafted to the troubled areas.

Updates:
