SAD: 8-Year-Old Child, Four Others Die In Fatal Accident In Delta

An eight year old boy, among four other persons reportedly died in a fatal accident which occurred along Asaba/Kwale Expressway in Delta State, Friday evening.

BIGPENNGR.COM understands the accident occurred following a collision between a bus belonging to a transport company and a private car.

Eyewitness said that the accident took place near Ossisa in Ndokwa East local government area of the State.

The two vehicles collided, the witness who was travelling on the route said.

According to the eyewitness, “the accident occurred when a Mazda driving from the Kwale Axis of the road, collided with a Toyota Hiace bus belonging to Agofure Transport line.

“A diversion on the road which was due to ongoing construction, had forced commuters to take one way.

“Suddenly, we heard the two vehicles collided fatally leading to the instant death of about five persons including an 8 year old boy. Several others were severe injured and rushed to nearby hospital”, the source said.

Although Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) was yet to make comment on the accident, witnesses disclosed that five persons including the child died on the spot while others suffered severe injuries.
