Three Police Officers Reportedly Drown In Boat Mishap In Bayelsa

Three policemen have reportedly drowned after a boat conveying them capsized on election duties at Oporoma in Bayelsa State.

The victims were heading to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government of the state when their boat capsized eve of the Saturday senatorial bye-elections in Bayelsa Central and West.

The Bayelsa Police Spokesman, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident.
