‘Tinubu Is Politically Finished’ – Twitter Users On Lekki #EndSARS Soldiers Shooting

Published

on

Nigerians using the microblogging website on Tuesday bare their fangs on former governor of Lagos state and APC national leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu after a major military onslaught against #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll gate.

BIGPEN reports that the shooting left many injured but the death toll was unclear as witnesses said several protesters were shot by the soldiers – one death recorded instantly while others injured may have died on their way to the hospital.

Some of the protesters said that many of those shot were denied evacuation by the soldiers who blocked an ambulance from reaching the scene.

Tinubu, believed to have a huge stake at the Lekki Toll gate concession deal which had been blocked from business by protesters for weeks, is being accused allegedly for masterminding the shooting.

He, however, has denied the allegation when some aggrieved young girls who were not sure if he was the one talking phoned him to pour out their anger over the military onslaught on peaceful protesters.

The recorded telephone conversation which has since gone viral has set Twitter on fire with popular publisher of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu making a post about it.

He wrote; “ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU has denied the allegation that he ordered military to attack peaceful protesters in Lagos. In a chat with angry callers, he made efforts to give his own side and also denied ownership of the Lekki Tollgate…”

His tweet was however followed by series of tweet lashing Tinubu and the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
