BREAKING: COVID-19 Death Toll Rises In Nigeria With 245 New Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Friday night confirmed 10 additional deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) and 245 new cases in the country.

The new death toll bring the total number of fatalities from the virus to 221 against the 211 that it was as of Thursday this week.

Announcing the figures via its twitter handle this night, NCDC said 131 cases were recorded in Lagos, 16 cases came from Jigawa, 13 from Ogun, 12 from Borno while Kaduna, Oyo, Rivers, Ebonyi had nine cases each and Kano, Kwara, Katsina had 8, 7, and 5 respectively.

The agency, also said that Akwa Ibom, Sokoto, Bauchi, Yobe had ,3,3, 2, 2 cases respectively while Anambra, Gombe, Niger, Ondo, Plateau, FCT, Bayelsa had one case each.

The country currently has 7261 cases nationwide, 2007 discharged and 221 deaths from the infection.
