Coronavirus Infection Climbs Over 5000 In Nigeria, Fatality Rate Increases

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Nigeria, on Thursday, surged past 5000 infection with 193 new cases reported from 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), this night, the country now has 5162 cases, out of which 1180 have been successfully treated and discharged and 167 deaths recorded.

The new 193 cases were recorded from; Lagos (58) Kano (46), Jigawa (35), Yobe (12), FCT (9), Ogun (7), Plateau (5), Gombe (5), Imo (4), Edo (3), Kwara (3), Borno (3), Bauchi (1), Nasarawa (1), Ondo (1).
