Nigeria’s Accountant General’s Office Burst In Flame

A raging fire on Wednesday burnt through a building housing the nation’s Accountant General office in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The fire which started apparently from the third floor of the tower burnt through the Accountant General’s office, IPPIS office and other important offices.

Reports say firefighters appeared helpless as they complained that they were not with equipment that could reach the top floors where fire is raging. They, however curtailed the fire after much battles.

According to reports, the source of the fire could not be immediately ascertained but some casual workers in the complex say the Fire started at about 10:25am from the office of an Assistant Director located on the fourth floor of the 5-storey building.
