Confirming the development, chairman of Isoko South council, Sir Constantine Ikpokpo, said that he has convene a security meeting of stakeholders today (Tuesday) at the council to trash what led to the renewed crisis.
“I have called a security meeting of stakeholders in the council today; we are meeting with the leaders and the parties to the crisis to come and tell us why we have to experience this kind of thing.
“It is worrisome, so let them tell us why they are fighting. So the government is doing something about it”, the council boss said.
Recalls that the lingering crisis degenerated few days after a section of the community, supporting the dethroned monarch, Isaac Odogri I, who has been on exile, forcefully mobilized the king back to the community for the conferment of chieftains’ title on some persons.
The development which reportedly angered a section, BIGPEN understands led to the clash between the two factions loyal to the enthroned monarch, Henry Ukenukpepia Etuwede III and estranged monarch, Odogri.
