I Said Power Should Shift To S/West? Never, APC Adamawa Scribe Did – Senate President Lawan

Published

on

Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan has refuted reports making the rounds that he said that power should shift to the south-west after President Muhammadu Buhari tenure in 2023.

According to reports, Lawan said that power shift to the South-west in 2023 is the best honour that can be bestowed on the late MKO Abiola.

The report added that he, therefore, advised President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the APC, to take a step further by handing over the 2023 presidential ticket to the South-west.

But denying the report in a statement on Monday, the Senate President said the statement credited to him is a misrepresentation of fact and identity.

According to him, the statement is said to have been made by the Secretary of Adamawa State APC, Ahmed Lawan, who incidentally bears similar name with him.

He, therefore, called on the public to take note.
